Engage, Enrich, Empower
At the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf (LCD), we are dedicated to ensuring individuals who are d/Deaf, DeafBlind or Hard of Hearing are able to acquire the information, tools, and resources they need to participate in society and reach their fullest potential. We work closely with members of the d/Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing communities to identify gaps and to continuously improve programs and services in the state of Louisiana.

Mission, Vision, and Values
In 2021, LCD developed its new Mission, Vision, and Values through a six-month, stakeholder-driven process.
LCD is thrilled to partner with you to work out our mission, vision, and values in every aspect of our work. From decision-making to services received, our goal is to do this together through community engagement and collaboration (view the closing statement in ASL).
