Notice of Public Hearing for the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf

The Louisiana Department of Health, Louisiana Commission for the Deaf will conduct a public hearing regarding the Proposed Promulgation to LAC Title 46:LXXII—Professional and Occupational Standards, Sign Language Interpreters (pg. 724-731). This proposal establishes new requirements regarding minimum qualification standards, registration processes, and policies for grievances, suspension, and revocation of registration for sign language interpreters working in Louisiana.

The public hearing will be conducted on June 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bienville Building, Room 117, 628 N. Fourth Street, Baton Rouge, LA, 70802.

Parking will be available at the Galvez Garage at no cost. Upon arrival, all visitors must immediately check-in at the Bienville Building front security desk by scanning a QR code. Visitors will also be required to provide their license plate number.
